close xWell, I don’t know how I did it, but this year I smashed my record of films seen and reviewed, reaching a grand total of sixty-two. Here’s my summary, and after this, let’s not talk of MIFF for another ten months or so. Overall, there were not a lot I didn’t like this year, which was a relief. Although the ones I didn’t like, I really, really didn’t like. The audiences were generally very good, if a bit gassy at times (or perhaps I was just sitting in the wrong place), and there was nowhere near as much complaining about the queues. Coffee at the Forum was the best, seats at ACMI were the best, and I will still hope that Greater Union does something about the seats by next year. But I know they won’t.
